Pyrite in Slate Silver Earrings

This is very high quality raw Pyrite that has grown in slate. The contrast between the two minerals creates a very interesting texture and color palette. 

The stones have been set into sterling silver settings that were handmade from scratch and are one of a kind. They were first sculpted in wax and then cast in special sterling silver using the lost wax casting method. The silver used is a special form of tarnish resistant sterling silver. They have silver post and come with stabilizing ear backs. These disc style backs support the ear lobe, prevent strain on the piercing and keep the earrings forward facing.
